“Winter in Iceland is always a funny thing. Extremes of only one or two hours of daylight during winter solstice.
A very moody, cold and dark atmosphere. That really projects in the music I’ve been listening to recently.
This year more than past years I’ve been listening to a lot of so called winter music. Both looking at what
I found interesting this year but also looking into older influences. Stuff like Andy Stott, Ben Frost and
Burial have resonated with me for the past few weeks. But between the cold blizzards there have been
truly serene moments and that kind of contrasts is something I am exploring in this mix. So in between
there is stuff such as Max Richter’s take on Vivaldi. This is a mix which can’t really decide where its going…
kinda like the weather.”
